Transitional Jackets

Its usually about March/April time when the humidity drops in Auckland and we have the cooler mornings and nights, and I begin to think about jackets, cardigans or layers.

My weekly peruse of the web and the High Street have discovered some lovely transitional jackets, not warm enough for winter but great to throw on for school pick up or for a night out.

Here are a few of my favourites and how I would style them;

Jacket - ESPRIT AU$99.95 Necklace - DECJUBA $49.95 Jeans - WITCHERY $105.00 Top - NEXT direct.com $69.00 Shoes - Glassons $29.99
This jacket is great because un-zipped it has a lovely drape at the front and the funnel neck makes the jacket a bit edgy. Team it with skinny jeans and you have a boxy look at the top with a slimming long line in the jeans beneath. These skinny jeans are great for Inverted Triangle, Apples and Columns.

I think a black nicely tailored jacket is an essential for any wardrobe. I love the collarless design and the trim detailing of this one. The cropped shape is great for Inverted Triangles and Rectangles. I have added the yellow necklace to give the look some colour, and the snakeskin effect on the back of the shoes is great to mix it all up.

Country Road - Jacket $199.00 / Jeans $109.00 / Backpack $149.00 DECJUBA-Top $59.95 / Bracelet $39.95 Shoe Connection - Skate Shoe $129.00
I LOVE the dusky pink of this jacket and the relaxed tailoring. Its a lovely draped linen and the slouchy pockets add interest. The felt backpack is SO cute and the bird t-shirt adds print to the look. The denim jeggings are great for elongating legs and the longer t-shirt covers up any middle areas of concern!
