When the temperature starts to drop outside, and I want to pull together a smarter outfit for seeing a client or getting out and about, then a skirt is a good option. With a pair of thick winter tights, you are still warm and cosy but looking stylish.

Team your skirt with a skinny merino or ribbed jumper, some sort of fine knit, nothing too bulky. In terms of shoes why not try a ballet flat, a brogue or check out my ankle boot post for different styles of ankle boots to finish off your outfit.
